Offensive Olympians

So apparently at this years Olympics the duo that is representing the Russian Federation decided to "tone down" their offensive dance and portrayal of Aboriginals, to something more tasteful. They created quite a stir of controversy at the 2010 European Championships and promised to adjust their routine before coming to the Winter Games. Domnina & Shabalin are pictured below in their faux foliage and darkened skin tones pre-Vancouver. Question: Who is their costume designer? And why did they think this was okay?

Im not sure which was more offensive: the costumes or their routine. Im just saying.....party foul for the Rooskies.
