I spent a beautiful Sunday afternoon in NYC and saw a matinee of Green Day's musical. Their Grammy winning album was adapted into a 90 minute theatrical performance. To be honest, it was PHENOMENAL. The cast was brilliant and their voices were awesome. The constant set changes and edgy costumes/choreography kept my attention the entire time.
The lead role, Johnny Gallagher Jr. stole the show...and my heart. Absolutely adorable. It had been far too long since I had seen a show. Maybe that will be added to my bucket list of summer plans. If you get a free momento check out the videos on youtube, or better yet, go see the show.
